In light of the tragic events of March 21, a OPD Fallen Heroes Fundraising Committee has been formed. The focus of this committee's efforts will be a BBQ, raffle, and auction fundraiser to be held on Webster and 4th Streets adjacent to The Warehouse Bar & Grill at 402 Webster Street. The event will be held on Saturday, May 9th from 11am-7pm. In addition to The Warehouse, the Rossi family and The Fat Lady Restaurant will be hosting the food portion of the day.

The committee has been permitted to block off the streets and are anticipating a turnout of 2000-3000 people. The PR firm of Blast Media has donated time to help in promoting the event. The committee will have a stage set up outside and with several area bands donating music. In additions to four BBQ areas, there will be beer and wine stations with all proceeds going to the families of the fallen officers.

So far, the committee has 2 Harley Davidson Fat Boys that are being raffled off at $100 per ticket, a luxury box donated by the A’s against the Yankees that will be raffled off. The committee is getting donations of wine, dinner certificates, golf, memorabilia and a host of other items for live and silent auction. It goes without saying that they are continually looking for donations to help us reach our goal of more than $100,000.
